How to get to Florence
Florence has an international airport (Amerigo Vespucci Airport) or alternatively you can fly to Pisa. The city is also very well connected to the rest of Italy, with Rome to the south just one hour and a half away and Pisa to the north just one hour away.
The A1 motorway is the main road linking the north and south of the country; it runs past Florence and has four exits convenient for the city. The A11 motorway and the Florence-Pisa-Livorno known as the FI-PI-LI link the city with the west.
